What’s the saddest book you’ve read recently?
This is the perfect question this week for me. I am currently reading Gertruda's Oath and it's about the Holocaust. The story revolves around a nanny and her charge and of their bond and survival, and how their lives were during and after WWII. I'm only a hundred or so pages in so I don't know how it all ends but it's a Non Fiction which takes an already sad subject and makes it worse knowing the subjects of your book were actually there experiencing it all.

That does sound sad.
I also picked a WWII book, The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. One of my points is that is there ever a WWII book/movie that isn't sad?
Holocaust stories are always sad, even if the people survive.
So glad you liked this book...I am reading your posts backwards...lol.
