What Are You Reading

It's Monday. What are you reading this week? Hosted by Sheila at One Person's Journey Through A World of Books. This is a meme to list the books completed last week, the books currently being read, and the books to be finished this week.

Books I finished in the last week:

Books I am reading this week:

Fifty Shades Darker - E.L. James
Day by Day Armageddon - J.L. Bourne Audiobook.
Wintergirls - Laurie Halse Anderson Audiobook (another book that is totally Sheila's fault. I bought and read this when it first came out but thanks to Sheila's review of the audiobook, my husband and I are listening to it. Very slowly however. It has become what we listen to when we head to camp and head home.

Books to Finish This week:

Fifty Shades Darker - E.L. James

I am so glad I read Fifty before the hype.

Fun listening with hubby.

Wintergirls is a very depressing book. How is it listening to the story? I love audiobooks but find many books "too slow" in that format.

I feel like I need to get into the Fifty Shades trilogy. Everyone seems to be reading it.

Enjoy your books. My favorite read last week was Emily the Strange: Dark Times by Rob Reger. Please come see what else I'm reading.

I'm very curious about Fifty Shades of Grey. It's everywhere but at the same time so are bad reviews for it! I'm going to eventually read it and make my own opinion of it though (:

I read the Amazon free preview of Fifty Shades and the writing was as bad, and as steamy as the reviews say, so I guess it's a matter of whether you like steam

Fifty Shades made in on Dr. Oz. His expert guests tried to explain why it was so popular.

Haven't bothered to read them but would if they were a gift.

I think I'm jealous of those that can listen to audio books, I fall asleep or lose track of what's going on.

I recently started listening to audiobooks, and I'm loving the experience so far. My husband and I were listening to Divergent by Veronica Roth on our way back from a weekend trip yesterday. He was not as big of a fan of the experience as I was though. I think he enjoys being able to interpret how people would talk as part of his reading process. To each his own though. Enjoy your reading!

When i listen to audio on my ipod I put it on double time as it can feel too slow. Once you get used to it it is more like how you would be reading it in your head. I was going to read 50 Shades Darker, but the friend I borrowed it from wanted to pass it along to someone else and I just wasn't feeling too strongly that I even wanted to read it so I gave it back. I hope you and your husband enjoy listening together!
