Teaser Tuesday

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading and it asks us to...

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
Here's my teaser this week:

Clarissa was proud of her garden. It was becoming what she had envisioned the first time she stepped onto the property: her own private Eden, genteel and spilling over with rosebuds, jasmine, pendulous wisteria.

How Clarissa Burden Learned to Fly - Connie May Fowler pg. 3

This is next up in my reading list and it looks really good.

  2. Mmm...I like that the sense of accomplishment bleeds through those words into the reader a little bit. But I'm curious - how long did it take to get to that point? So it's a great teaser!

  16. I believe my mom would like this book.
She loves tending to her garden.
That's when she feels closest to God.
However, now that she is up in age, she can no longer tend a garden.
