What’s the saddest book you’ve read recently?This is the perfect question this week for me. I am currently reading Gertruda's Oath and it's about the Holocaust. The story revolves around a nanny and her charge and of their bond and survival, and how their lives were during and after WWII. I'm only a hundred or so pages in so I don't know how it all ends but it's a Non Fiction which takes an already sad subject and makes it worse knowing the subjects of your book were actually there experiencing it all.
That does sound sad.
ReplyDeleteI also picked a WWII book, The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. One of my points is that is there ever a WWII book/movie that isn't sad?
